Venerable Pomnyun: Chairman, The Peace Foundation and Good Friends
A Report on the North Korean Situation after Currency Revaluation: Implications for the U.S. and ROK
Recent developments in North Korea, including the currency revaluation and related issues of food shortage, human rights, and refugees, have important implications for the United States and the Republic of Korea. Venerable Pomnyun Sunim, the Chairman of Peace Foundation and Good Friends USA, will discuss the current situation in North Korea based on the most up-to-date information and shed light on how the sudden currency revaluation has also impacted the lives of average North Koreans. This event will be a forum for sharing information and discussing practical and effective methods of addressing humanitarian and policy issues related to North Korea.
