While the classes primarily focus on language learning, each incorporates brief cultural lessons that introduce students to important aspects of the traditional and modern culture of Korea, providing helpful context as well as practical knowledge. Topics range from food and history to social customs and pop culture.
Spring 2009 Session:
- Classes begin February 17/18, 2009 and end the first week of May
- All classes meet once a week from 6:30-8:30 p.m. for 12 weeks total at the Korean Embassy's culture and information center, the KORUS House (2370 Massachusetts Ave. NW Washington DC 20008)
- Beginner and Intermediate classes available
- Registration includes textbook (required), snacks during class breaks, additional class and KORUS House materials, and a final class Korean dinner party
- Free parking available in the KORUS House lot, or a 10 minute walk from the Dupont Circle metro
- Prospective students are welcome to sit in on the first class and then join, space providing, but please contact in advance (below)
